Get it, Scott.

Hello, jeans-weather! At least up here in PA.

“I fell in love with her courage, her sincerity, and her flaming self respect. And it's these things I'd believe in, even if the whole world indulged in wild suspicions that she wasn't all she should be. I love her and it is the beginning of everything.”
- F. Scott Fitzgerald

I'm assuming Scott was talkin' about his love Zelda.
Who has been my idol since grade 10.
She had me on the whole ballerina-writer-artist-Montgomery-girl-spitfire thing.
And he met her at the good 'ole Montgomery Country Club.
And I may or may not drive by their circa 1930 house on Felder Avenue every time I go home just to visit.
And I maybe own 9 hardback biographies about the famed couple.

  1. My favorite writer! Wrote my first college paper on these two, and have never fallen out of love with the books.
    Hava nice day.

  2. Yes, I too have an obsession with that beautiful and dramatic and tumultuous relationship. And I've been to the house in Montgomery, too! Have you read A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway? There's a lot about his friendship with Fitzgerald, and it's pretty great.

  3. *Sigh*.. I too, love F. Scott Fitzgerald. My favorite line of his books is, "He had come a long way to this blue lawn, and his dream must have seemed so close that he could hardly fail to grasp it." - The Great Gatsby... TGG is apart of my yearly book rotation.
